Privacy Policy
Mapcorn
Last updated: October 13, 2026
1. About this policy
Mapcorn is a fan-made Brawl Stars companion app that provides map information, statistics, player features, Team Up, and draft-related tools.
This Privacy Policy explains the information Mapcorn handles, why it is used, where it is stored, how external services are involved, and how users can request deletion.
2. Information Mapcorn handles
Brawl Stars player information
Depending on the feature you use, Mapcorn may handle Brawl Stars information such as:
- Player Tag
- Player name
- Profile Icon
- Trophies
- Ranked information
- Battle log and battle-result information
This information is used for features such as Player Search, Player Details, Recent Battles, Mapcorn Account verification, Following, Team Up, and statistical processing.
Mapcorn Account information
If you create or use a Mapcorn Account, a verified Brawl Stars Player Tag is used as the account identity.
A random device token is stored on the device and sent to the Mapcorn server when needed for account authentication. Mapcorn does not store the raw device token in its persistent server database; a SHA-256 hash of the token is stored instead.
Account registration, login, and deletion use a temporary Brawl Stars Profile Icon verification challenge.
Following information
If you use Following, Mapcorn stores the relationship between your signed-in Mapcorn Account and the Brawl Stars players you follow, together with limited player display information needed for the feature.
Team Up information
Team Up may handle information such as region, recruitment category, requirements, tags, Team Code or Invite Link, and player information needed to display and evaluate a recruitment post.
Account posts are associated with the signed-in account. Guest posts are not associated with a Mapcorn Account, but Mapcorn uses a hashed device identifier to manage ownership of the guest post.
3. How Mapcorn uses information
Mapcorn uses information for purposes including:
- Providing Player Search, Player Details, and Recent Battles
- Creating, verifying, authenticating, and deleting Mapcorn Accounts
- Providing Following
- Providing Team Up recruitment, eligibility checks, and invitation links
- Generating Tier, Ranked Map Score, Counter, Pick Position, and related statistics
- Operating, maintaining, securing, and troubleshooting the service
- Displaying advertising and managing applicable privacy choices
- Preventing abuse and protecting the service
4. Information stored only on your device
Some information is stored locally on your device rather than synchronized to Mapcorn's server, including:
- Favorite Brawlers
- Favorite Players
- Recent Searches
- Some app preferences
- The raw device token used for Mapcorn Account authentication
Local data may remain on the device until it is changed or removed in the app, the app's local data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled.
5. Battle data and statistics
Mapcorn processes battle data obtained through the Brawl Stars API in order to generate statistics such as Tier, Counter, Pick Position, and other map- or draft-related data.
Raw battle logs are treated as short-retention operational data rather than permanent source data. Aggregated or derived statistical data may be retained for longer because it is used to provide Mapcorn's statistics.
6. Advertising and privacy choices
Mapcorn uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads to display advertising and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request or manage applicable advertising consent and privacy choices.
Google Mobile Ads and UMP may process information such as device information, advertising identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, and related information according to Google's policies and the user's applicable privacy choices.
Where Google indicates that privacy options are required, Mapcorn provides access to those options from the app's About & Legal screen.
For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
7. External services
Mapcorn uses external services including:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads for advertising
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for applicable consent and privacy choices
- Supabase for hosted application data and Mapcorn server data
- Brawl Stars API for player, battle, and game data used by Mapcorn
- Brawlify API for certain game reference information
- Cloudflare for website and network infrastructure
These services may process information under their own privacy policies, terms, and legal obligations.
8. Data sharing
Mapcorn does not sell personal information handled through the app.
Information may be disclosed or processed when necessary to:
- Provide app functionality through service providers and infrastructure providers
- Provide advertising and applicable privacy-choice functionality
- Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or misuse of the service
- Comply with applicable law or a valid legal request
Information that a user submits specifically for display to other users, such as Team Up recruitment information, may be shown to other Mapcorn users as part of that feature.
9. Retention
Mapcorn keeps information only for as long as needed for the relevant purpose.
- Raw battle logs: retained for a short operational period
- Aggregated and derived statistics: may be retained for longer to provide statistical features
- Mapcorn Account data: retained while the account exists, subject to operational retention needs
- Following data: retained while the Follow relationship exists or until the related account is deleted
- Team Up posts: retained for the limited lifetime of the recruitment post
- Verification challenges: retained only for the short period needed to complete verification
- Local device data: retained on the device until removed, cleared, or the app is uninstalled
10. Account and data deletion
A Mapcorn Account can be deleted from the app's Settings screen. Instructions are also available on the Account Deletion page.
Deleting a Mapcorn Account deletes the account and account-linked data used by Mapcorn features, including device credentials, Team Up settings, Following data associated with the account, and Team Up posts owned by the account.
Guest Team Up posts are not part of a Mapcorn Account and are not deleted through Mapcorn Account deletion. They expire separately according to the limited lifetime of the guest post.
Aggregated or derived statistical data that is not stored as Mapcorn Account data is not treated as account data for deletion purposes.
11. Security
Mapcorn uses reasonable technical and operational measures to protect information handled by the service. These measures include HTTPS for production API traffic and storing a SHA-256 hash rather than the raw device token in the persistent server database.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Age and younger users
Mapcorn is intended for users aged 13 and older.
Mapcorn does not currently ask users to provide their date of birth or store a date of birth. If Mapcorn introduces an age-verification or age-classification feature, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe how that information is handled before the feature is released.
13. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Mapcorn's features, service providers, advertising configuration, data handling, or legal requirements change. The current version will be published at this URL with an updated date.
14. Contact
Privacy inquiries, data-handling questions, and account-deletion questions can be sent to privacy@mapcorn.app.
